Weber State University is focused on providing undergraduate programs of the highest quality. WSU offers over 260 separate degrees/programs - the largest and most comprehensive undergraduate program in the State of Utah . We take pride in our student-centered environment for learning and believe that quality undergraduate education is founded upon close associations between faculty and students.

Did you know ...

  • 58% of incoming freshman students were in the top quarter of their graduating high school class.

  • 85% of our faculty have PhDs or other terminal degrees.

  • The Career Services Center, one of the largest cooperative education/internship programs in the U.S. , provides work-integrated learning experiences to assist students in getting a head start on their careers before they graduate.

  • The FAA recently selected WSU as one of only four training and internship host schools nationwide.

  • 142 faculty mentors assisted 1,301 undergraduate students in completing scholarly and research projects last year; 36 projects are in the process of being published and 106 were presented at regional or national conferences.

Admissions. To be admitted to WSU you must: graduate from high school or equivalent, submit a completed admissions application (available online), submit a $30 application fee, and submit an official high school transcript. We also recommend that you complete and submit ACT, SAT, or other placement test scores. A number of programs at WSU require special applications. Please contact the specific department for information concerning application, advisement, and deadlines.

Financial Aid and Scholarships. Last year, WSU awarded nearly $35 million in grants, loans, scholarships, and work study. Over 50% of students receive some financial assistance at WSU. All students who apply for admissions to the university will be considered for scholarships. To apply for financial aid, submit a completed FAFSA form online or in hard copy to the financial aid office at WSU. The priority deadline for financial aid is March 1.

Scholarships are awarded in a number of areas including academic excellence, leadership, performing arts, and athletics. Students are encouraged to complete the scholarship/admissions application process online. The priority application deadline for new freshman scholarships is mid-November, and the final scholarship deadline is February 1.

Academics. Weber is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges; applied technology programs are fully accredited by the Utah State Office of Vocational Education. An active honors program challenges the best of students while a variety of support programs aid those with particular needs. Our New Student Orientation and First-Year Experience programs assist students in becoming successful members of our university community.

Campus life. There's always something happening on campus. A wide range of co-curricular activities, including student government, intramural and intercollegiate athletics, and an award-winning performing arts group complements students' academic studies.

Housing. Nearly 800 students live on WSU's safe and beautiful Ogden campus, where they get a great view and easy access to classes, resources and recreation. As we often say, WSU is "far enough away to be independent and close enough to do your laundry." Housing Services is proud to offer students a new apartment complex and a traditional residence hall building to live in. Each building will offer students a unique living experience with wireless internet access throughout all campus facilities.
