LDS Business College has specialized in training students for the job market for 120 years. Our graduates have a placement rate above 90%. Students learn in a personal setting with an average class size of 20. Institute classes and devotionals add a spiritual dimension. Students can ski, hike, and mountain bike in nearby canyons. Admissions. The College admits persons of any race, creed, gender, religion, or national origin who meet the College's admission requirements and agree to abide by its standards of behavior. Admission may be restricted by semester or department depending on capacity. Therefore, when applicable, qualified applicants are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. To be considered for admission, students must submit an application, a student narrative, a high school transcript or evidence of high school graduation, and a $30 application fee.
Financial Aid and Scholarships . The College offers a complete federal aid package including Pell Grants and Stafford Loans. Students in need of financial assistance who are enrolled in eligible certificate or degree programs are encouraged to apply for aid. Grants, scholarships and loans are available to eligible students to help meet educational costs. Historically, 70 percent of new freshman who apply receive scholarships. Federal financial aid may also be available to students who qualify for a scholarship.
Academics . LDS Business College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges and Universities of the Northwest Association of Colleges and Universities. The College offers one- and two-year programs in accounting, business, information technology, interior design, medical careers, office technology, and two 2-year college transfer programs.
Campus life . LDS Business College sponsors several excellent clubs and organizations that provide opportunities to enhance academic growth and develop social and leadership skills. Students are surrounded by cultural and social activities. The College sits two blocks west of Temple Square , within walking distance of downtown Salt Lake City 's malls, museums, entertainment, and employment opportunities.
Housing . Housing is available for full-time male and female single students. The new residence halls are one block from the LDS Business College Triad Campus. Four floors of the Plaza Hotel, located at 122 West South Temple are female student housing. The Male Residence Hall is located at 144 West North Temple . Each resident is required to have a meal plan. Professional chefs from Church Food Services oversee the meal plans, which are offered through the Carriage Café on the Triad Campus. Two meal plans are available.
