Often referred to as Utah's best kept educational secret, the College of Eastern Utah's main campus is located in Price, Utah, a community of 17,000 with a cosmopolitan mixture of diverse cultural possibilities located in the center of the state. An hour's drive can put you in the high mountains or the harsh desert. Eastern Utah also has campuses in Blanding and Castle Dale. Any of our campuses put you in the center of geological treasures and recreational opportunities: San Rafael Swell, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry, fishing, hunting, skiing, hiking, biking, and, with a short drive, Utah's metropolitan Wasatch Front.

Did you know ...

  • Eastern Utah has 2,900 students. The average class size is 20 to 25 students, and the student to faculty ratio is 15:1.

  • Eastern Utah Nursing students have 100% placement of all graduates seeking employment. The program is well known for hands on clinics and small classes with ready access to instructors.

  • Eastern Utah Geology students have the chance to study and learn at world-acclaimed dinosaur quarries.

  • Over 600,000 people visit Eastern Utah's Prehistoric Museum each year to see the world famous Utahraptor dinosaur and learn about the prehistoric cultures of Utah.

Admissions. Most Eastern Utah programs are open admission (Nursing, Cosmetology and Nail Technician require a separate application and admission process). Five simple steps qualify you for admission at Eastern Utah: 1. graduate from high school; 2. complete the application; 3. pay the $25.00 fee; 4. send high school transcript upon graduation; and 5. take the ACT, COMPASS, or other placement test.

Financial Aid and Scholarships . Over 75% of high school applicants receive some type of financial assistance from Eastern Utah . We offer all major federal and state financial aid programs including grants, loans, and work study. Awards range from partial tuition to full tuition, and may even include housing, student fees, or cash stipends. We encourage all students to submit scholarship and FAFSA applications. Applications must be postmarked by March 1st to meet our priority deadline and have full consideration. FAFSA applications must be submitted at least six weeks prior to the date when aid will be needed and may be obtained from your high school counseling center, the financial aid office or submit the application on-line. We recommend a February 1st priority deadline for FAFSA.

Academics . Eastern Utah offers more than 400 courses in 60 areas of study. Ninety percent of courses are taught by full-time professors. We offer great transfer programs to four-year colleges and universities. Whether your goal is to gain a certificate that will get you a job right away or a two-year degree that can then lead to university transfer, we have your program. Eastern Utah offers AAS , AS and AA degrees and certificates of completion.

Campus life . Over 50 organized student clubs and organizations help you feel connected to the campus. The residence halls offer active social programming. Activities on campus include theatre, music, art, dance, concerts, men's basketball and baseball, and women's volleyball and basketball. Price has five movie theatres, two bowling alleys, and a vast array of outdoor recreational facilities.

Housing . On-campus living is an integral part of the college experience. Whether you're into academic clubs, basketball, volleyball, baseball, theatre, art, ballet, or music concerts, it's all right outside your door when you live on campus. No car needed. Eastern Utah has four residence halls on its Price campus and one hall on the Blanding campus.
