| T.H. Bell Incentive Loan Program |
The T. H. Bell Incentive Loan Program (TILP) offers qualified students accepted into one of Utah 's teacher preparation program full tuition and fees to complete their education degree. The monies paid by TILP are treated like a loan to students. Students who graduate, are granted a teaching certificate by the Utah State Office of Education, and teach in one of Utah 's K-12 elementary, middle or secondary schools can repay one year's loan by teaching one full academic year. For students who become certified and teach in hard-to-staff schools, each full year of teaching will be considered payment for two years of the loan. Colleges and departments of teacher preparation will give special consideration to students who prepare to teach special education, math or science. In some cases graduate students who prepare to teach in these areas will also receive consideration. |
